Summer Necessity: Fruit Infused Water

Summer is right around the corner, which means warmer temperatures. It is very important to drink plenty of water, especially if you are doing activities that increase your heart rate. Dehydration can do great damage to the body and can even lead to death.

How much is plenty? Well, the average human should be consuming no less than 96oz(12cups) of water per day. If you spend a frequent amount of time in warm conditions or doing activities that raise the heart rate it is suggested you should increase your water intake to 128oz(16 cups) per day.

A good trick to get your water in is by infusing it, giving it some flavor and health benefits. You can also get water from your food if you just cannot imagine yourself drinking a gallon of water/day.
